THE WHO'S THAT GIRL WORLD TOUR 1987

On June 14 Madonna embarked on her first world tour, the "Who's That Girl Tour".  The tour was extremely successful, and supported both her "True Blue" album and her upcoming film, "Who's That Girl".  The tour would go on to gross a then-astounding $25 million US dollars, and would be seen by over 1.5 million people worldwide.  It's forever known as one of Madonna's most iconic moments, and chock full of many memorable and show-stopping numbers.  Madonna's energy and showmanship is completely infectious here, and when she launches into "I Can't Help Myself" by The Four Tops, it's impossible not to be won over.  This tour is important in that not only was it her first world tour, but it firmly established her a live act to be reckoned with.  Her stage persona was fully seen the world over, and the following tour would only elevate her status to mythical proportions.
